Still not back on the Blogging wagon!

It's been quite a while since we've posted an update! I figured I should post one before too much time passes!

Things have been going really well. Lance is doing great at work and they are currently crunching to make sure they meet their milestones. He received job offers in San Francisco and Montreal but we chose to turn both of those down. San Francisco would be neat, but we prefer somewhere warmer! Same with Montreal - but in Montreal we would've had the added stress of needing to learn French! So for now we are going to stay put in Seattle, unless someone in San Diego offers him a job!

Diane started working Lolly & Co back in 2011 and loves it! She does accounting and commissions and also gets to dabble in writing some copy. Some days she literally spends 8 hours thinking of how to describe new dolls and their accessories. It's nice to have a break from the monotonous accounting! Plus working in the toy industry is pretty neat. The best part is all the sample sales. When a showroom in the building has too many, they sell them for near nothing. Poor Lance has had to get used to random items showing up because they were overstocked and too inexpensive to pass up! Thankfully he's a good sport.

Other than work, we've tried to keep working on the house but that seems to come and go. We were really gun-ho after Christmas and repainted and built a desk (Lance will tell you all about that one -- Another of Diane's great ideas) in the nook that used to seem out of place. We still have some painting to finish and we have all new moulding that we need to install. We also still need to finish up our back patio and building our retaining wall. We are hoping to get a wooden fence installed this summer as well! We have cyclone fence running along the side of the house and the dogs can see all of the neighbors cats running around so we'd like to put something up that they can't see through plus it would give us a TON more privacy when we are outside.

Time for Diane to do some wedding planning and Lance to nod and say "Sure" to anything she says while he pretends to listen/plays his video game! Hope all of you guys are still planning on August 9th! Is it okay to send out another save-the-date? =)
