A Great Birthday!

We ended up having a lazy Sunday/birthday and it was SO nice! Saturday night we went to Bill the Butcher and bought some great steaks and picked up some pie from the Seattle Pie Company. It was delicious! Lance grills the best steaks in the world. So, instead of going out for dinner, we cooked our steaks and had some pie and wine. It was perfect! I don't know why I'd ever go out for steak anymore! Bill the Butcher has the best steaks and Lance knows how to cook them so perfectly.

Sunday we did some yard work and worked on digging up the back for the sod but spent a lot of the day watching movies. Specifically, we've watched a ton of The IT Crowd on Netflix but we ran out of episodes to watch so we were reduced to good old made for TV movies. Here are some "before" pictures of the yard, though this is after we cut the trees mostly down and we started a bit of digging.

For my birthday, Lance's grandparents sent me the most beautiful flowers! They are seriously the coolest flowers I've ever gotten. I couldn't help but take pictures of them!

I LOVE the spider mums! They look so cool! Special thanks to Fluffy and Da for these! They're the best! And, for those of you who don't know them, Da happens to be especially patient with me and my grand ideas (like building dog houses and special dining tables) which is just another reason they're the best =).

Well I am off to do some cleaning and organizing before Lance gets home! Hope everyone had a great weekend and a fantastic Monday!
