Eek things have been CRAZY! We closed late Wednesday and we started off and painted the ceiling of the master bedroom then we did the walls. We got home at midnight and were up early Thursday morning. Thursday we made some MAJOR progress! We primed and painted the living room/dining room and did those ceilings as well. My dad came down and fixed our garage door opener and our gate lock. By the time we finished on Thursday, I didn't think I'd ever move again. I worked on Friday and Lance stayed home and supervised the movers. We managed to get mostly everything moved over and nothing broke which is good! Saturday we did more and more painting... it was nuts. We've also been running out to the Home Depot all the time. We had our new couch delivered yesterday, followed by our new fridge. We of course then found out our dishwasher is bad, so that needs to be replaced. Oh and our toilet broke so Saturday morning at 7am we were at the Home Depot buying a new one. We got a nifty dual flush one that is really cool and will hopefully help us save on our water bill! We have also gotten new blinds, cut down the trees in the back yard, cleared off all the ivy and sticker bushes along the front and have started to dig out the front flower bed since my mom is bringing down planter boxes and plants. Oh, and she also brought us some really cool giant flower pots for outside the door! When we went to dig out the bed we discovered there is no cement under it - there used to be a tree there so they poured the cement around it. Oh well. We'll dig it all out and fill it with pretty pavers and put our new flower boxes on top of that.
PHEW! What a ton of work! I have lots of pictures to post but I'll do that later - right now we're heading to start painting the bathroom. We're excited just to get things mostly done and put away. The whole "unpacking" thing hasn't been happening much but I'm sure we'll get there! We're just trying to get all the painting and minor fixing up done so the house looks nicer. We still LOVE it though! It's the perfect amount of space for us! The dogs love it too!
Okay off to paint! Lots of before/after pictures and more detail to come! BRING ON THE PROJECTS!
P.S. My dad just called and said he got us a weed whacker - WOO! AND he bought us a power drill so we have our own! We've kept borrowing his and now we can be all grown up and install our new blinds with our very own drill!
