Fans, fans, and more fans!

We are trying to find a nice ceiling fan for our bedroom as well as one for downstairs in the living room. I found one that I LOVE, but I don't know if this would look too out of place in our bedroom. We're going for a whole modern, contemporary look in the house and the bedroom will be a nice dark pinkish red color. They have this fan in oil rubbed bronze, but I think that looks a little old. I know this fan for sure would be great downstairs, but I love it so much, I might want one in the bedroom too! Most "ceiling hugger" fans look super fat and gaudy to me. This one still looks neat and won't cut our heads off when we come in the room since it's only a few inches off the ceiling.

This one is what most of the ceiling huggers look like, though I think it still looks a whole lot better than most other ceiling huggers. I do love the brushed nickel finish on this one and wish the one above came in this finish, but I either have to choose what actual shape I like better or the finish. I am so torn! I love the nickel finish, but I LOVE the shape of the one above because of the way the top of it mounts to the ceiling. The nickel just seems like it would look so much better.

Any thoughts? We need help!
